FLOR-I
2024, PLA, neodymium magnets, nickel plated steel
Set of cylindrical modules inspired by plant growth structures. Each element is based on branching proportions and developmental angles found in L-systems, phyllotaxis, and fractal patterns — mathematical models that reflect how form emerges in nature.
The pieces interact with each other — some attract, others repel — limiting full user control over the final structure. This results in dynamic, balanced, and delicate assemblies shaped by natural logic. Flor-i can serve as a stacking game, an educational tool, a decorative object, or a spatial element.
Designed for all generations, it encourages logical thinking, patience, and sensitivity to connections. The set includes modules in multiple colours, magnetic connectors, and additional magnetic discs.
